Pros

Can get some experience with industry leading ERP & CRM tools. Generally good work/life balance. Fairly chill office culture. At the time, overtime was very much available if you were willing to work.

Cons

Zero career development; management had no interest in training employees above and beyond what their current roles required. Still has a "good ol' boy" culture that rewards old dudes who are drinking & golf buddies with senior management, but otherwise incompetent. Company is built on having control of a large amount of lumber sources in BC, so no concept of innovating or being competitive.

Amazing culture and group of people for the afternoon shift. The overall management team are amazing, with great communication among staff and solid training of departments. Well ventilated during the summer months, although can get quite chilly in the winter.

Cons

Day shift can be stressful - Constant heavy lifting - Can easily get hurt if not careful

Strong operations, great management, quality control and investment in new infrastructure is good. Plenty of optional overtime work available if you want to pick up more hours at higher pay.

Cons

Lifting heavy materials constantly caused frequent back injuries among warehouse employees.
