Pros

Longevity - many employees spend an entire career here. If you get in good, you stand to promote. Pretty good benefits package, not great salaries.

Cons

Not much turnover, so positions aren't regularly available. HR rules the roost and has more influence than a lot of other companies.

Free access to public transit. Work day for management staff on a holiday usually ends at 2:30pm before the holiday.

Cons

Can be long hours depending on the position. Poor pay in relation to job duties and responsibilities.

Pros

It's a stable place to work. You can feel good about your contribution everyday, as MTS gets people where they need to go. The benefits are great. There is a fair amount of work life balance. Most of the employees love what they do, and help each other out.

Cons

Most of the non management administrative staff work in cubes. Cube life can be challenging at times, with noise and concentration. But at the end of the day, working in cubes does help foster teamwork and collaboration. Because of the cubes, most people tend to have positive relationships with their coworkers.
