Pros

Personally rewarding and reasonable schedule. Good union benefits.

Cons

1. Once a teacher; always a teacher. There is minimal opportunity for career growth. 2. Know how to budget. Teacher pay is unreasonable considering the cost of one's degree, the amount of work that is required, and the importance of the job. FYI: Ask a teacher if they'd want their children to grow up and follow in their footsteps. You'll find them saying "NO!". That speaks volumes about the current state of affairs for teachers.

Pay is decent for a college student , Hours aren't too taxing.

Cons

Generally interventionists are sent to the most problematic schools and teamwork amongst staff in dealing with these issues is rare. You're on your own!!!!
