Pros

Somewhat Flexible hours, good benefits, management is not overbearing. Really not much more good about it beyond that. Oh, the way they scale the absent/vacation time is OK.

Cons

Working 7am - 10am before the store is open and 9pm - 11pm for $4.00 really hurts your paycheck as you make no commission during this time, also add responsibilities such as merchandising an aisle by yourself during commission hours taps on more lost wages due to lost sales. If you work in the PC department you have to keep your numbers high otherwise they boot you out of the department. Overall if your looking to make money, you won't find much here without driving yourself crazy.

Pros

Constant interaction with customers will keep your mind sharp, from always asking and answering questions. Some managerial staff actually care about how the other staff feel.

Cons

Commission rate hurts you during the slow season. Cheap computers bring in cheap customers which hurts the commission rate more. Not much encouragement besides being told to sell more if you want a raise.

Pros

If you like commissioned based sales this is the place for you. You make as much as you can sell on products and any add-on such as warranties and accessories.

Cons

If you make a good commission, it can suck when you are asked to work overtime after closing hours to stock and clean up the store. This is especially annoying during the holiday season when the stock to be put away is more than the usual. Imagine making money only on commission then having to work an extra 4 hours stocking and cleaning because of a visit from corporate. You already made your money on the sales. You don't get paid on top of that with overtime No matter how many extra hours you work the money you get paid in the next check is the money made on commission. Your extra time is free labor to Micro Center.
