      Pros

      Interesting field with vast possibilities for business expansion. Well, COBOL is not the coolest language, but is still rather funky for its age.

      Cons

      Limited options for career development, lack of education programs.

      When I was there it was a great working environment (open plan), the people were friendly and helpful plus flexible working

      Cons

      COBOL is a real niche language and although they have additional tools and product like mainframe tools, the market place for COBOL must be in decline

      Pros

      Working out of home office a standard practice. You are not over managed,they pretty much let you fend for yourself. I worked with great sales people, who new what they were doing.

      Cons

      Layoffs are common. I made quota and got laid off. Corporate culture is very focused on past accomplishments and product management rules by opinion. They provide little or no education on the products so you have to get up to speed on your own.
