      Pros

      Great personality of employees. One of the most successful of the semiconductor companies. Good field sales culture.

      Cons

      There isn't much that I can think of! Maybe Microchip is a little behind in developing the most cutting edge technology.

      Pros

      -Flat hierarchy for such a large company in 2008 -Paid back paycuts very soon after bottom of US recession -Varied projects to work on -50% engineering, 50% people-facing technical sales -Competitive pay -Co workers actually know what they're doing

      Cons

      -Located in San Jose, CA which is really boring -I hear it's not such a great place to work anymore, much more political

      Well managed from a financial perspective. Solidly profitable and stable. Great opportunities to expand beyond your immediate role to influence other areas of the company.

      Cons

      A bit too internally focussed on being different. More of a follower in the semiconductor industry than an innovator or leader.
