      For process engineering, there was good work-life balance.

      Cons

      Microchip does not pay as much as industry standard pay ranges. Microchip does not typically do layoffs, but in 2025 it is closing one factory and there are massive layoffs at the other factories.

      There's a very good work-life balance, people are flexible and very helpful. There are lots of areas to work in (HW/ SW, support, IT Design Motors etc). and you can move from a different team.

      Cons

      The salary and benefits could be better. Also there could be more incoming projects to learn. Too many managers and management layers across the company
