Ok company, but lags behind other high-tech in terms of work culture

Large company so you're bound to have some good friends at work.
Cons
Low salary, poor Covid response-while other companies were rushing workers home in early 2020, Microchip still wanted people to be in the office. Later on, there's an unneeded rush to get everyone back to the office while covid cases are surging. They have an old-timer's thinking that everyone should be in the office for better productivity/culture instead of trying to keep everyone safe and realizing better productivity from Hybrid or Work from home. If you're looking for perks like free gym membership, elaborate parties, free food, etc, you wont find them here. Overall the company operates on the frugal side. Also, difficult for minorities to move up past certain senior ranks--vast majority of very senior level and senior level are non-diverse, with exception of CEO.
