      Pros

      Microchip generally treated the employees better than other companies I worked for. For example, during Covid, they did not reduce headcount. They reduced salaries temporarily, and when business picked back up, everyone was comp'ed for the salary they lost during the slowdown.

      Cons

      The company struggles with new technology innovation. Management seems more concerned about "milking" (their word) IP than generating new IP.

      Pros

      Worked there for a while until executives decided to shutdown the fab. Fellow coworkers were all friendly and it felt very welcoming there.

      Cons

      The only option to advance was to go to a different shift.
