      Pros

      Very stable company. Good place to retire out of.

      Cons

      Very monotonous. Very stable company comes with no drive or ambition. Compensation is low for the industry. Microchip's internal nickname is Microcheap, and boy to they show it. Lack of personal means Microchip is always chasing the market. It will always be around but will never be the leader. There is nothing 'fun' or exciting or rewarding in the job, it feels like mostly punishment.

      Pros

      The work life balance can be quite nice at times. However, it comes at the cost of working intense hours some weeks and enjoying some shorter days. Can be lax at times as well.

      Cons

      No prospects. Difficult to aspire to much or stay motivated. Very sexist atmosphere, very boys club at times. Lots of gossiping behind people's backs. Management is incapable of inspiring employees. Days just sludge on with no incentive. Very depressing job. Pay is not nearly enough to tolerate some of this crap.

      Microchip headquartered in US and has over 17000 employee globally. They provide lot of training for people.

      Cons

      Much lower payment than average in semi-conduct industry. The company culture need to be improved.
