Pros

Smart People, work-life balance is great, no micromanaging at the tech level, workload averages out over time, not too bad overall. Pay is good eventually but better at other semi-companies. Very laid-back management as long as you are good at your job. Sagacious financial leadership and an excellent c-suite team, I have complete confidence in them.

Cons

number 1 complaint is a lack of formal technical training, pretty much learn by trial and error, hard work is not as appreciated as it should be (coasting is commonplace because of this), tech levels don't mean anything about skill, its only pay and your likability in most cases. I know of several instances of tech 1's training tech 4's when the tech 4 obviously makes a lot more money. Internal promotions pay much less than an outside hire to the same position.

Pros

The best way to describe working in Microchip is like living in a small neighborhood in a big city. Small, quaint teams that work closely with other. but working under the umbrella of a big corporation. So sort of getting the benefit of both work cultures. Microchip is very team-centric. They spend a large amount of money dedicated to helping employee's career growth, as a matter of fact that is one of the CEO's main mission statement Fairly flexible work environment to help balance life and work.

Cons

Working in a team-centric environment sometimes causes things to change or move slowly, reducing the possibility of mistakes.
