      Commitment to training, wants to move into new markets, focused on trying to create a good work/life balance.

      Cons

      Old material, bottom line focused so benefit plans are not as robust as advertised, will not look to outside counsel/help on matters that are material to the company so basic errors are made.

      great espp plan (2 yrs look back - 15% discount) they're fully invested in training employees flexible, respectful management team great culture & values

      no chill zone / free snacks / drinks lots of materials to read early monday morning sales training calls

      If you are a low wage and ambition-less person, your job is secure in Microchip

      Cons

      A low technology company that primarily survives on 8 bit microcontrollers. Absolutely not a place for professionals. Company is controlled by a bunch of Indians, who in order to safeguard their job, will always axe any competent person. Very low skill set of personnel working and this results in lot of politics and groupism
