      Pros

      One very good thing about Microchip is that there are no layoffs. I have never seen a person getting fired in downtime. They give lot of restricted stocks and shares over the time which is really good. Also, very relaxed work environment with almost nil work pressure. You can actually have lot of fun while you are in Microchip.

      Cons

      Management doesn't take any risks which can be sometimes considered as con.

      Excellent leadership team Great adherence to values Respects employees and sticks to values not only in good times but in bad times too The company feels like a family

      Cons

      Pay is less compared to competitors but the company makes up for it through evergreen stocks
