Pros

Good salary and benefits but you have to sell your soul to receive them. I was working in central London with nice offices and perks.

Cons

Most political place I have ever worked. Almost every project, assessment, email, meeting and comment is calculated for the political advancement of specific individuals rather than to provide the customer a great experience. Its amazing any products get built at all. As soon as anything is even marginally successful everyone wants to claim credit and ultimately this reverts back to some faceless droid in Redmond. If you can work a political system you'll love it.

Pros

Lots of opportunities within MSFT to move around. People have multiple careers while staying with the company. Good benefits. Redmond campus is a great location.

Cons

When I was there, middle management was woeful. Two of the worst managers I've ever had were with MSFT. It can be difficult to connect and align with people. Putting technical resources in offices with closed doors is not the best way to build community.
