Pros

Many very intelligent skilled professionals to learn from. State of the art technology stack to work with. Stocks. Beautiful office. Opportunities for migration within company even to abroad.

Cons

Too many political games (blame games, abusing power, political over correctness, imposing company values...). Not interesting (often thrown out of window) work on lower positions. Not well paid on-calls going agains work-life balance. Some coworkers get over-competitive going over "dead" bodies.

Pros

In my current role right now, here are the pros which I can also see pretty much from our sister groups (groups within the same org) - awesome WL balance -> I never felt pressured to work beyond my workhours and I can always take a break (long and short) to recoup well-being - flexible -> as long as you deliver results on time, nobody cares where you are and what you do during the day; - resources availability -> you're in one of the biggest companies in the world and this should be a given ;) - great benefits --> >my fave is the backup care (they've increased the hours for child care under Bright Horizon significantly after Covid) and the $1200 well-being allowance - diverse and inclusive -> what you've read are all true!

Cons

Getting promoted is tough. It's not enough that you deliver but you're expected to and keep your skip manager know about this. This is because your direct manager is busy with his own leveling-up. In my first 3 years there, our direct _did_not_ even introduced us to our skip.
