When I originally joined the company 5 years ago- it was great, company was making smart moves, I felt really welcomed and that my opinion and job mattered. Flash forward- company grew way too fast, they became very reactionary, and it was just chaos. Every week it was a new pivot to do damage control. Not even 9 month ago, they were handing out promotions and huge raises, and hiring people for all kinds of obscure roles. About 4 months ago they laid off about 14 HQ staff, with the assurance- "This isn't going to continue to happen- just a one time thing" Well on Monday, 7/22/24 41 people's lives got blind sided by being laid off. These people did not even make it into the office- they received a phone call early in the morning, with their bosses reading word for word off a script along with HR telling them "Don't bother". All while the CEO and other executives are radio silent or nowhere to be found. Everyone's personal items thrown into boxes and "being sent out". It's truly a kick in the face for myself and all of those individuals who truly believed in the #MilanMagic and worked their butts off for that company.

It has taken me a while to write this review because I wanted to be removed from Milan long enough to consider my entire time with the company. I held a higher titled position at Milan for 2 years. When I began in Milan, it was like a dream come true. I was engulfed with culture, acceptance, and support. I felt that way for about the first 6 months I worked at Milan. I was almost waiting for something to go wrong because it was that amazing! Everything changed last year when they expanded too large and too fast. ALL culture was lost. ALL sense of security was lost. ALL trust in my leader to support me was lost because she was overwhelmed with her new clinics. My last year and a half were battles over an extreme lack of staffing, unimaginable amounts of customer complaints, and an extreme lack of company support to rectify these issues. I had high hopes for a long and fulfilling career at Milan, and it was crushed in a short 6 months. Why did I stay? I was hopeful the tide would turn, and it did not, so I left. If you do not buy into their "cult-like" environment, they will find a way to make you miserable so that you quit.
