      Pros

      Great pay, world travel, amazing experience, OTJT, up grade potential, experience diversity, 4 months on/ 1 month off.

      Cons

      You will be told when, where, how,why,, often, you're in the Military almost, bite your tongue and move on.

      Great shipboard job, but deployments are long

      Pros

      Lots of O/T, cool work doing underway replenishment, very little time just sitting around the union hall. Boatswains know their jobs.

      Cons

      Deployments can be long, and if you're deployed to the Persian Gulf (which you probably will be at some point) the heat is very difficult to deal with.
