Pros

Travel, gov benefits, no maximum tour can stay as long as you want on a ship,

Cons

30 days off now only regardless of length of tour, many overdue reliefs, upwards of 2 or 3 Months overdue. Management keeps getting worse, more and more like navy, current liberty restrictions

Pros

Varied ships and job duties, travel to foreign ports, paid training, lots of sea time for license upgrades, lots of promotion opportunities

Cons

No set schedule, reliefs are almost always months overdue, very low allowance for time off (only 30 days after being overdue months past your required 4 month tour), poor home/work life balance
