Pros
Great products and design legacy. The unlimited PTO and flexible schedule was nice -they are trying to provide great perks. Most people are kind and caring. The old culture was more relaxed, easygoing, and felt like you could develop yourself and contribute in meaningful ways.
Cons
Pre-acquisition, Herman Miller used to be much more people-focused. Now communication is all about the numbers and lacking in personality. Experienced people have either been let go or are resigning and those roles are seldom backfilled. This has placed a great burden on the people who have been loyal to the company or were oversold on what a great place MillerKnoll is to work, only to be thrown headfirst into chaos. Autonomy and trust are lacking on some teams and there isn't much opportunity for growth. Decision making is very top-down and slow. These issues have been raised, but nothing seems to be acknowledged or changed. Of course, depending on the team, you may have a different experience.
