      I am underwhelmed with the level of innovation in processes and day to day business.

      Pros

      There has been very impressive commercialization of technology breakthroughs. Sales organization seems able to capitalize on this new technology in multiple markets. Some low to middle managers trying improve process and innovation but seem to battle uphill doing so.

      Cons

      The salaries are below market. Benefits are only mediocre. 401K match is ok but doesn't vest for 3 years. This seems below the market standard.There is little effort to create any sort of career development ladder, either formally or informally. Cross department communications have to be channeled through supervisors rather than being communicated in a wider forum. This comes across as patronizing to employees.

      Pros

      Aldrich provides pretty good relocation benefits and a pretty decent work-life balance. I was generally able to take a day off when I needed to. It's a very stable company with good profits.

      Cons

      They make you pay back your entire relocation benefits if you leave within two years which is very unusual in the industry but might be the companie's way of "retaining" employees. Salary is very low compared to other companies and the benefits are just average. The work is not very exciting and there is nothing high-tech about the company.
