Pros

+ Good initial learning for fresher but things might get worse if you stuck on poorly architectured legecy project, + free lunch, snacks latte, expresso, ginger tea, mixture. Asia trip in every 5 year , two cocktail parties in a year + Work From Home ( not for all )

Cons

- No quality software Development, not a serious software development environment at all, - Most of the projects are support projects - Zero learning after couple of months of joining, it'll ruin your career. - Now notice period is increased to 3 months. - Senior experienced people are totally narrow minded. They are happy with rote quick fixes and haphazard changes to meet deadline, they don't even know the latest tech stacks and design patterns. They will apply their 90's knowledge of spaghetti coding. They only know how to copy paste from stack overflow. These people will not even bother to update their skills. Even you might be discouraged for your analytical skills and questioning about techstack, architecture, alternative way. - Backdated, obsolete technologies like filemaker, cold fusion are still used - No vision at all - Managers without sound technical knowledge will decide techstack and it might ruin the project architecture also. - System design, rigid architecture, SOLID & DRY principals are not valued at all. - Sometimes work environment might become toxic because of the poor decisions made by management.

Pros

Work from home. Not for all.

Cons

- If Mindfire shuts down your career shuts down too because no other company works on the technology they work on. Evaluate your technology before you chose to join or continue. Else you will be left with 2 options either go for higher studies or start your career again as a freshman. - Delusional salary structure. Big chunk comes as bonus which can be crossed off any time. - No hierarchy. - No HR is there to hear employee concern. - For Mindfire, Java = Servoy. Out of the world equation which no body outside Mindfire will ever understand.

Pros

Independence. No dress code. No hierarchy. Friendly seniors in general.

Cons

- No emphasis on latest trends in market. You just learn to write plain code and efficient programming techniques - but you will be disconnected from the latest trends in tech space. - Your Technology can be changed anytime. - No consistency in policies, CEO changes policies as per his whims and fancies - One day he will write an email that Mindfire will have no formal list of holidays because "Everyday is a Holiday and if you work - you chose to work" - no one will ever sit 365 days at home but this practically only means that you will have to work on smaller festivals like Holi etc as these would be counted as holidays if you take an off - "because you didn't choose to work that day". - Learning for freshers - You will not be provided any formal training - your lead will give you a book and you will be given 5-6 days to go through it - and then you will be allocated a project or put on a project to assist someone else - you will clearly lag behind your friends who receive formal training in big companies in terms of knowledge. - CEO is kind of crazy - he changes policies like every 2 months (if not 1) - He just sends an email (which is often at 2 AM in the night). ----One Instance----- CEO writes an email to everyone that as per the company policy all new recruited freshers will now receive a package of 30,000/month and salaries of existing work force will also be increased - but some weeks later he says that freshers will get 30,000 but the salaries of existing employees will not be increased and then some more weks later - he says that freshers will not necessarily receive a salary of 30,000 but it will be upto 30,000. ----Second Instance----- CEO writes an email to everyone (at around 1-2AM) that he is planning to buy a Harley Davidson for all employees and everyone will be able to share it - he also lays down rules that "it will be shared by all employees and employees could take it home and employees will have to make bookings and anyone who takes it home on Friday can keep it for the weekend." Next he asks everyone for feedback and everyone is like yes - let's do it - then he says He will not do it. --- Salary is like a favor--- The CEO declares that no one will get a hike/salary raise in 2015 but everyone will get a bonus - only god knows how he calculated it - then he writes emails that convey an idea that the employees and MFS don't deserve the amount they are paid - He somehow thinks that MFS pays twice as much as market standards - Self respect is compromised severely
