There are some really talented development and design professionals here… that’s without question. Some of the absolute best mobile engineers and backend developers I have ever worked with. Some senior staff also extremely talented and personable. Along with some very solid in-office perks.

Cons

I have never had more anxiety and/or dread for driving into work than Mindgrub in my entire career. There was serious talent on staff, but the juice was not worth the squeeze. Pay may be slightly above average for the agency world, but you’re severely underpaid compared to in-house (likely in most cases). All the while you are tracking every single billable hour for contracts you likely will not agree with and for clients/accounts that were over promised / over delivered from the outset. If you have serious skills that can be utilized by Mindgrub, I can almost guarantee that you can earn more $$$ in-house with far less stress, without tracking all of your time, and generally speaking, a better work-life balance.

I worked at Mindgrub two years ago and I left because no one on leadership seemed to listen or care about my personal growth Now, based on comments from some of my friends, they seemed to have turned the corner by hiring strong and experienced non-agency professionals. Some of the poor crappy managers/VPs have left or been fired. Now that I've been able to develop more skills, I'd go back for the right opportunity.

Cons

Promotions don't occur fast enough and increases should be more competitive.
