Pros

MTI has a bright future! Good products for the markets in which it competes. Lots of really good, committed employees. Employees who work hard and perform are recognized and compensated for their efforts. OE effort and results-oriented culture build the capability to be able to work anywhere.

Cons

As the preceding post clearly shows, there are a few folks who are still resistant to change, particularly to OE, even though that effort enabled the firm to weather the 2008 downturn and build enough cash to buy Amcol.

Good company - but too much bureaucracy

Pros

Area I am in is showing growth but it is a other than main stream part of this corporation's business.

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy extremely focused on Toyota style lean manufacturing to the point it interferes with getting main business done.

I have been working there for 2 years. Top management is trying very hard to find areas to grow the company. But it has not found anything yet. So cost cutting is only way to keep earning growing.

Cons

When it is non growing company, it will be very difficult to retain great people
