They do what is best for the company---even if it screws over the employee regardless of tenure. Manipulation, unfair wages, high turnover and layoffs often. Overall, I never felt that my work was getting recognized by executives, which is where I wanted it to be. The CEO hardly spoke to us unless we were having a round of layoffs or to tell us how little revenue we were having.
It's a very small company servicing a large area with a small amount of revenue--layoffs come quick.
