Pros

Really nice down-to-earth smart people. Fun office culture, snacks in the breakroom, office overlooking the lake.

Cons

They recently laid off 100 people (mainly in support and software development) and are offshoring to India. The suspicion is that HG Capital just wants to sell to another Private Equity and doesn't care about the quality of the products anymore. Might be okay if you're not going to be part of the support or engineering departments but honestly I don't see this company doing well in the near future. I really liked working here so I'm pretty sad that everything is going to change.

Lots of freedom to do things your way. The people were great. Extremely flexible schedules. Good benefits including open PTO, HSA, and casual dress.

Cons

About 30% below market value in salary. Issues keeping the best talent around. Issues with getting knowledgeable senior employees.
