Pros
Relaxed work environment. Engaged CEO. Small company feel. Wide variety of projects with small teams, so you get to try a lot of stuff. Very "open source" friendly, both in use and under production (or at least as close to "open source" as DoD software can get).
Cons
If you're looking to be more than a team lead, you're not going to find a big enough organization to lead here. A fair amount of software has an experimental feel to it, which makes sense, nothing is developed for retail consumers. ...and about 10k calories worth of snack foods are there to tempt you all day long.
