Pros

Good benefits package. Periodic all-staff meetings give some insight to the direction of the institution. Staff can attend openings, which are very nice events.

Cons

Very corporate. Little acknowledgement given to lower level staff. Long hours without adequate compensation, despite being unionized. Staff work out of fear of dismissal and hope of promotion that comes to very few.

Pros

It is what you make it. Opportunity to experience how small institution operates. One of the few museums in Queens if you are local.

Cons

Treated like a free labor. Management has absolutely no intention to educate or train interns whatsoever. Expect long hours of work and phony gratitude.
