Good experience, but not a lot of room to grow.

Pros

Exposure to some of the greatest culture and minds in the arts. Good benefits. Great place to spend a couple years, but not a place for long-term growth.

Cons

Usual drawbacks of a working at a large non-profit: slow to-change, entrenched structure. Technologically conservative.

Pros

Incredible environment and small team so lots of responsibility. One of my favourite museums, so it was exciting just being around the team and the space.

Cons

I would come in some days and be the only one there for ages - sometimes a bit too relaxed. There was a time they would hire a lot of interns and make them full time, but I fear that time has now passed, it's tough to get a job there. It's just the current climate everyone in the arts.
