It's All A Scam. And A Dangerous Culture

Pros

Positive reviews here aren't from Mondo employees- they're from Mondo placements. The only pros are that you can make good money- but salaries there are not competitive for the work done.

Cons

Dangerous culture. They suck money out of clients (50% of the money customers pay for contract workers goes to them directly). Their leadership team on the West Coast also create a hostile environment. I'd run the other way before considering working here, unless you're interested in working from 8-8 everyday and having no career development.

Pros

None Recent positive reviews are all from consultants they work with, not actual employees that actually work at the company... sneaky way to boost their rating - they offer staff gift cards and bonuses if they get consultants to leave positive Glassdoor reviews.

Cons

Obscenely racist. They label potential candidates as "rwb" or "red white and blue" which is code for "white." Candidates are rated on their "communications skills" which really means their command of the English language and an English accent - anyone with an accent not from America need not apply. Management is exceedingly young and inexperienced. Leaves way for a very unprofessional work place. On my first day my manager told me she doesn't wear bras. Why that was something I seemed like I needed to know, I'll never understand. Additionally, the management is aggressively catty. They hold grudges against employees they decide they do not like - it's rather absurd and cliquey. Work hours are grueling. You're expected to be in your seat by 8 AM and stay until the whole team hits their goal, at least 6 PM, sometimes as late as 9 or 10 PM. You're also working on off-hours, which is peculiar considering employees are paid hourly rather than at a flat salaried rate. They offer unlimited PTO but you're lucky if they allow you to use it. They make you feel bad for utilizing the benefit, and then expect you to be available and on your phone while you're on vacation.

Hey, We're sorry to hear about this experience you've had. All of our full-time employees are and have always been, salaried and therefore do not get paid based on an hourly rate. As part of our culture first initiative, our employee-run People Strategy Committee rolled out our hours of operation mid-year, 8:30 - 5:30, in addition to setting better parameters around after-work emails. Because work-life balance, in a sales environment, is still very important and possible. "RWB" is not a part of Mondo's vernacular and labeling candidates based on their ethnicity or communication skills does not align with what Mondo stands for. This is not the culture or work environment we want for any of our employees. To the best of our knowledge this term is not used anywhere, however, we will look into this and investigate this matter further. We do encourage you to reach out and speak with HR about your experience as well. Best, Mondo

IT Recruiter

Pros

- Still keep up with my former IT Recruiter who sat next to me and the ADs who sat across from me. - The salary was also one of the only good things that came from this position. - Culture was young and refreshing, but it was looked down upon if you took a bathroom break or didn't work through lunch. - I felt like I could talk to my Territory Manager about anything. - Great location in Dallas.

Cons

- Training was too confusing. - I had to keep going back to my training which took away time from actually recruiting. - Team Lead micromanaged me like I have never seen IN MY LIFE. I wanted to flush my iPhone down the toilet. - I was "Advised" to stay after normal hours at work and leave at 8 or 9 p.m. to get "subs." Got home at 10 p.m., to find my phone blown up by Google chat messages from my Team Lead worrying me about getting "subs." and to call people in the middle of the night to phone screen them for positions. Got 4 hours of sleep, then woke up to e-mail chain messages at 5 in the morning. I didn't go to college for this. - Horrendous work/life balance. If you want to work 20 hours a day and sleep 4 hours a day, then fill out an application. - If you want to be micromanaged to the highest degree imaginable, fill out an application. - If you want to receive emails, chat alerts, text messages and phone calls non-stop in the middle of the night from your obsessive Team Lead worrying you about work, fill out an application. - If you want to receive, "CALL ME!!" messages and emails from your Team Lead every 4 minutes, fill out an application. - If you want a non-existent work/life balance, fill out an application. - If you want to be pressured day in and day out to meet your quotas, fill out an application. - You should basically fill out an application if you don't care about your self-worth or inner peace.
