Pros

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience than the one I had with Mondo. Grace and her team were professional, proactive, detail-oriented, and made the entire process feel tailored and transparent. Truly the best recruiting agency I’ve worked with. I highly recommend Mondo for anyone searching for new talent or their next opportunity!!!

Cons

Truly cannot think of a single con.

Pros

You can make a ton of money here, commission here works differently than all of the industry standards which should be the first alarm bell. For someone with no sales or corporate experience, you can turn your low salary into decent money in your first year. Great team members in the trenches with you. Also training is great and unmatched in the industry, if you succeed here everything else in your career will feel easy but see below.

Cons

Only the top 10% last more than 6 months and only the top 5% of those last more than 2-3 years. This company operates like a sorority when things are going well, you’ll be required to cheer on other peoples deals and if you aren’t loud enough you’ll be seen as not having the right mindset. When things aren’t going well it’s aggressive and abrasive. Everything is life or death, if you are not willing to burn relationships with clients or candidates expect to be let go. They’d rather get a deal closed on Friday with a worse candidate then wait til Monday for someone better which causes high turnover and their only successful pitch tactics to be focused on speed of delivery. Sales will be given “customer accounts” who haven’t been customers in 5 years and have since gone through 10 other Account Managers “double dialing” them every week. There is a reason they don’t still work with Mondo. Recruiters will be contacting the same candidates as 5 other recruiters on their team so by the time you get a response it’s a competition between each other to get them on the phone first. Creating an environment where only the Recruiter who works the fastest and longest hours can truly succeed. If you make a mistake you will be asked to write your “Learns” in chats aka put yourself on blast for the whole team to gaslight you. When management makes a mistake or pushes a client or candidate too far and they step back or withdraw, it will never be managements fault, it’s because “they aren’t the right partner”.

Pros

Mary Schadler guided me through every step of the process with clarity, consistent follow-up, and real industry insight. She prepared me well, advocated for me, and helped me land my new IT Risk Manager role at S&C. The communication was fast, transparent, and far better than what I’ve experienced with other agencies.

Cons

Nothing bad to report about Mondo.
