Brutal experience with internal transfer

Driven co-workers. You can feel the sense that everyone actually wants to get stuff done.

Cons

- The internal transfer experience here is just brutal. - You will have to wait 1 year 3 months (5 quarters) for your first year stock vest if you join the company 1 day late for an arbitrary deadline for stock grants to be approved. - The free lunches in the office are very sad, and people steal each other's lunch from time to time.

I love working with the people on my team. Everyone is kind, smart, and thoughtful. I enjoy coming to work every day.

Cons

I've been at MongoDB for a few years now, and it feels like things are starting to move a little bit slower. There are more layers required for approval now, and there are a few growing pains. I understand that this is necessary as we aspire to have a scalable product and organization, but it does make some elements of the day-to-day slow/tedious.
