      - Hard work goes unnoticed while favoritism drives promotions. - Only a handful of people get opportunities to advance — everyone else stagnates. - Management focuses on keeping a few individuals happy instead of building a healthy culture. - No real path for skill development or long-term growth.

      Pros

      People really do embrace our values. Especially our value "Embrace the power of differences". As a global lead for one of our ERG's, I see this in action constantly. Of course there is always room for improvement but MongoDB culture is more than just a set of words. I value the people I work with and it is reciprocated. I feel I can make a difference, and can use my strengths to help improve our processes to align with our company objectives.

      I was recently impacted through a company reorg. It was a stressful time, and the process could be improved.

      Pros

      Great work/life balance. Lots of talented people. Overall pretty stable. It's not the flashiest of tech companies, but it's worth the stability. They are very transparent about company goals and plans.

      Cons

      Management is all over the place and makes shifty moves based on emotion and assumptions towards whatever feels relevant to AI. These last minute shifts causes a waste of resources, leaving lots of good work that never get to see the light of day. Also tough to get promotions due to budgeting. Mission values don't align with management's POV; they encourage "taking risks" but never actually do it in fear of losing customer loyalty.
