      Pros

      ~My first point of contact - Recruiter and HR. Knowledgable and trustworthy (Always a plus!) ~Bright colleagues with different backgrounds with the same end goals ~Making a difference in the company ~Nosql! DUH!

      Cons

      Being part of a startup has it's cons. Management needs to make goals they can stick with.

      Pros

      Fantastic facilities, bright and fun atmosphere, really nice HR people, super-smart leaders, amazing salary/perks (even by Startup standards) - What I really like is the transparency, I've never worked anywhere where the CEO pretty much tells everyone everything that's happening. High trust environment.

      Cons

      Being a fast growing company means frequent changes and occasional left turns. Probably not ideal if you're slow to adapt.

      Pros

      You will be surrounded - literally - by wonderful people. Young, intelligent, driven! There is plenty of challenging work to be done. You don't have to be fresh out of MIT, Stanford or UIUC to get in the door. There is an active "Databases Reading Group" so you will always know what the competition were up to.

      Cons

      The product has deep technical issues. Unless powering through other people's bugs is your cup of tea, this can make work very challenging. The company is more a bunch of hackers than a serious software company. You definitely need a college degree (unless you're interning!), but a PhD is more or less worthless at MongoDB.
