      Pros

      Amazing opportunity to learn and work on really fun projects. Everyone is amazing and great to work with. I have not seen a shred of ego and in advertising that is amazing. A desire for diversity and new ideas and to continue to grow. Very transparent.

      Cons

      Most of the diversity hires are all at the bottom level. But at the same time working on training those new incoming hires.

      Pros

      I’ve worked in Digital Marketing for a while, so I have a lot of jobs to compare this to. Firewood’s embedded model is pure genius. The client treats me like I’m part of the team, and then Firewood has my back with negotiating everything and supporting me with ongoing training, providing me with a really great manager, and the co-workers are all super nice and approachable. The benefits are also the best I’ve experienced anywhere. I feel like that really says a lot about how you value your employees. Juan and Lanya (founders) are genuinely nice people and you can tell they are deeply concerned with the wellbeing of their employees. It trickles down through all levels of employees.

      Cons

      Onboarding was a wild ride. This is the only con of the embed model. Since I’m mostly on-site with the client, it’s more difficult to arrange time with my Firewood people to ask questions, and it’s awkward to rely on the client for training. People are in the Firewood office on different days so connecting with co-workers is difficult. HR sends out a survey for new hires so I’m confident they are already aware.

      Great team, great work-life balance, and the benefit of working from home

      Cons

      No significant increases in salary based on tenure, performance, or otherwise. As well as no moves internally to promote from within.
