      Great opportunity to learn and network with other people. Very friendly atmosphere, outgoing culture, and caring staff members provide a welcoming environment.

      Cons

      Low financial rewards, overworked. Big fish in a little pond, no attention to detail, tough to overcome obstacles .

      Pros

      State Benefits and pension, many vacation and sick days paid off, 35 hour work week. Contribution to the community is a positive factor

      Cons

      State position so limited pay scale and No bonus possibility. Limited opportunities for growth or advancement. You have to operate under restrictive state policies and regulations which can limit work flow and production.

      Pros

      The professors' level is as good as you can expect around NY Metro Area. There is little oversight, which might be good for experienced educators and self-starters.

      Cons

      All faculty and staff are overwhelmed with what is required of them and their workloads. As a result, there is very little involvement in the TAs activity, almost no communication and feedback. Basically you are left to fend for yourself, and there is no system in place in case there are weather-related delays or emergencies.
