State Benefits and pension, many vacation and sick days paid off, 35 hour work week. Contribution to the community is a positive factor

Cons

State position so limited pay scale and No bonus possibility. Limited opportunities for growth or advancement. You have to operate under restrictive state policies and regulations which can limit work flow and production.

Pros

I worked as an adjunct in the MA in Counseling program, and the BA in Family Studies programs. The atmosphere is great; the students are nice and motivated. Lots of support from the administration as an adjunct in the Family and Child Studies.

Cons

There are not a lot of cons; mostly that parking is a huge problem on campus for everyone, and that adjuncts aren't necessarily given any priority or free passes.
