Management is very conceited and does not pay attention to the whole team. That's not everyone, but I worked in two departments.

The University offers generally good health and retirements benefits. The physical working environment is also generally pleasant, depending on which area of the University.

Cons

Salaries are not as competitive as they are in other industries. Also, the University doesn't offer a progressive, people-focused environment. Professional development opportunities are rare to non-existent.
