Pros

The majority of my students are engaged and interested in the subject matter. I have a great deal of autonomy in creating my course content.

Cons

I basically report to nobody. No one is checking on me, which is fine, but when I have a question, I have no idea where to go. Some of my students lack the basic skills they need to be able to succeed in classes like mine.

Pros

A lot of opportunities to learn about many topics from Photoshop tricks, to programming/coding languages. Supervisors are always open to help students progress in their chosen career path and even open them to new approaches to other careers.

Cons

Bureaucracy can impede progress at times, especially when it comes to implementing something that is beneficial to all. However, that is an aspect that is out of an individual's control.
