+ can negotiate upper half of the industry average salary + depending on the team potential work from home / hybrid wfh scheme + depending on the team could have optimal work load

Cons

- some teams do not allow working from home - some teams have insane workload - some teams do not have clear project goals or work on dead-end projects - your contributions probably won't be a deciding factor for your annual bonus and raise (some factors include: is it your first year, "visibility", rolling a dice etc.)

Pros

- Flexible working: 2-3 days in the office - Good work life balance: 9am-6pm with an hour for lunch - People are great - Not a lot of corporate bs, such as performance ratings, reviews etc.

Cons

- Team most likely split across regions: US - London - India, which makes it a bit harder to work, and harder to have good relationships with teammates in other regions, without ever seeing them in person - Depending on team, tech can be quite old - Most of the infrastructure is built in house, which is by default inferior to open source solutions
