      Pros

      Used to be the name. Unfortunatly Morgan has lost its cache. The brand advantage has evaporated. Technology is lagging and talent departure is unfotunate.

      Cons

      Managment has lost all connectivity and they have forced out the best managers. There is no meritocracy. In tough times the good ole boy network really kicks in. Most seior managers only care about saving their jobs. No dissent is tolerated and the guys we knew and could count on in tough times are all gone to UBS

      Pros

      The best thing about Morgan Stanley is the work-life balance and there's no micromanagement. The manager is very lenient about the times you come in as a Technology associate as long as you get the work done. You also get a company blackberry which has its own pros and cons.

      Cons

      Quite a lot of politics so you really have to kiss ass if you want to move up faster. Generally the people are smart but to really get things done you need connections or people will move at a snail's pace.
