Highly skilled employees. Offers opportunity for significant professional growth.

Cons

Salary increases are small and infrequent. Bonus goes down each year for most, even on up years for the firm.

Pros

Has a group of smart experienced senior people that focus on doing the right thing for the firm. Capable of attracting the bright young people out of school.

Cons

Politics plays a big role in moving forward when comming out from a junior role. Very competitive. Long hours. High stress sometimes.

Pros

Of all the large banks I've worked at, Morgan Stanley has the best overall life/work balance. Each division is different, of course, but the Technology & Data organization was very supportive of my professional and personal needs.

Cons

Huge place. There's bound to be a certain degree of anonymity, so you have to go out and make your own connections/network.
