Pros

Morningstar has a great mission. Joe Mansueto is an icon.

Cons

They don't mind screwing people over on pay. If you do not work in Chicago, you have to deal with local HR. Local HR is the deal breaker. If you do not work in Chicago, it is like you do not work at Morningstar.
