Pros

comparable starting pay for manufacturing, warehouse, and Labor. There are benefit options through the company. Strong recognizable brand which would make one initially think great job security.

Cons

after the starting pay that's where it ends there's no growth in financial advancement after probation and training is over which is why there is a lack in motivation with anyone out there all there financially is to look fwd too is the nickel raise every half decade in cost of living increases; yeah like that helps! The insurance use to be free for me and my family now its twice as much as my last two union jobs combined and doesn't even cover half. no free stock anymore and what use to be 100% 401(k) matching is now half matched up too 5 %. The imcompatent foreman are useless they are a bunch of right out of college kids witch bachelors in business who all think they are engineers and know nothing of the industry. You better follow your end of the contract even though the company wont follow their end and would rather pay thousands of dollars defending their naïve salaried employees till the end no matter what if even they are wrong then admit that they are wrong! You'll never not work a weekend or holiday and with rotating shift don't expect to keep any of your friends; but dnt worry an 80 hr wk is just avg. They only hire salaried employees outside and dnt promote within so expect to stay an hrly worker. As far as job security they are trying to find ways to outsource as much as possible; I'm not quite sure how they are going to outsource salt mines but good luck with that Morton!
