Pros

After moving away from the area it forced me to find something new. Once I knew I was coming back to DC my first call was to the management at Motion. After hearing from some other firms in the area it was an easy choice to join Motion for a second time. The specialized teams allows you to make sure you are a subject matter expert in the field that you recruit for. This helps you separate yourself from other recruiters in the area. The full desk team environment makes it competitive in the best way possible. It also allows you to make the most out of your opportunity, there is plenty of help along the way but this job is what you make it.

Cons

As it is at most recruiting firms the turnover can be tough to deal with at times.

Pros

Motion was my first job out of college and I've worked here for over 5 years. In addition to really enjoying the people I work with, I think what has kept me at the company for this time period is the amount of growth opportunities that have been presented to me. I have received three promotions during my time here, all of which have taught me invaluable lessons both in business as well as in my personal life. Motion has an awesome training program, and really invests time into their employees. I also have a ton of people within Motion that I can lean on and turn to when I need advice and guidance. It is a fun sales culture and a place where being yourself is really encouraged.

Cons

Like any profession, sales isn't for everyone. No matter what stage of your career you are in, sales takes focus and hard work. If you're someone that is very hard on themselves and/or doesn't respond well to constructive criticism, then you will struggle to succeed in this career
