Pros
I have only been with KeepTruckin for 3 weeks now; this is my second job after 2.5 years of sales experience in the logistics industry. So far I have been very impressed with company culture, internal talent, and the company's ambition and desire to grow. It's still a small office so everyone is pretty close and always willing to help out. We all have a strong role in influencing the direction of not only KeepTruckin Nashville, but KeepTruckin's company structure. The perks are a result of the spoiled start-up culture in San Francisco, by that I mean an awesome snack selection and a fun environment. It is sales so you are expected to come in and make your own success. With that said, management is very involved in helping you succeed without micromanaging too much. Lastly, expect a start-up environment, but a start-up that is worth over $500MM and very tech savvy. We live in MacBooks and Google apps (gmail, drive, hangouts, etc) and other internal operations are very app based, benefits, expenses, pto, etc. Pay is fair for what this role entails and the company perks definitely help as well. The work life balance is great for sales, you can come in, work hard and call it a day without stressing about your next day/week ahead of you. Because we're such a young company there are going to be lots of internal opportunities for career advancement whether or not it is at KeepTruckin.
Cons
KeepTruckin Nashville has only existed since September, so we're certainly in the baby phase as far as that goes. The office is a bit small, BUT we're in the WeWork office currently which is actually really awesome. Can't complain about the noise because it's a salesfloor and that's to be expected. No 401k Match - understandable in the startup environment. Lack of tenure - as mentioned, it's a very young office so one of the most tenured rep has been with the company, the rest are 6 months or less for the most part. Amount of technology could be a learning curve for someone who isn't tech savvy. Will face some growing pains along the way as we're such a young company and office. Be prepared to adjust quickly.
