Great People, Poor Vision

Pros

Company is full of interesting complex problems Peers were very team oriented and were willing to work together. Work hours were flexible and company was good about molding work around your life.

Cons

Horribly restrictive change control process makes even simple changes a 3 week debacle. Benefits just flat out were horrible and getting worse every year. Sense the company is imploding. No top down vision of direction.

Pros

Salary & Personal days are great, where else i can make 90K w/ no supervision. Smart co-workers, but wasting talents w/ no direction of company.

Cons

Upper management stopped communicating with lower tiers and weekly meetings ended months ago. Not sure if company has any idea what to do now, since no cares anymore. Do not know what the future holds.

Pros

The individual contributors are good to work with. Remaining lower- and middle-tier management is realistic about the company's future.

Cons

This company is in trouble. It requires new leadership and a new direction. The feature phone business is drying up, and competitors have booted Motricity out of the Asian market. Mobile marketing and advertising have a bright future, but leadership team doesn't seem to have a roadmap for becoming a part of that.
