Pros

Most Mott faculty and staff genuinely care about the students and the Flint community. Executive leadership is very good at projecting a positive image.

Cons

Behind the PR smokescreen, there is a toxic culture here. The executives seem to be only interested in preserving their own power. They bully and abuse the staff below them. Our new President, Dr. Walker-Griffea has done nothing to improve the toxic culture. When she arrived at Mott she should have made a clean sweep of the executive board. Opportunity missed.

Good faculty and dedicated staff with a strong commitment to Flint and surrounding community

Disorganized, mostly focused on maintaining image and good publicity, desperately needs strong leadership that puts the college first

Pros

I believe my time at Mott helped drive in a great work ethic, and also gave me a flexible schedule to work on my studies when I needed it.

Cons

Pay was topped out at a low rate, but I can't blame Mott for that. It was a student position, after all.
