A decent organisation that offers rewards and opportunities for staff that engage with it's vision.

- Lots of responsibility and opportunity to progress - Humanistic approach - Hard work and performance is rewarded - Your opinion matters

Cons

The organisation is run quite lean so it is always busy and as such there is less time for reflection, communication etc. The company as a whole seems to be risk adverse due to the fact it is employee owned.

Good work variety, lots of travel opportunities. Good selection of projects to work on in various countries around the world.

Cons

Very poor management. Old boys network well and truly running the show. Limited promotions if you are not British. HR are very poor. lots of travel but nearly always in economy, no matter how long the trip. Not as up to date with technology as other companies.

In terms of values Mott MacDonald has, in general, an excellent work-life balance. Diverse fields ensure that there is possibility of working on a number of interesting projects. Good benefits

Cons

Male, pale, stale senior management that don't always conform to the company principles they are meant to champion. Some glass ceilings are in place if you do not have an engineering background and you sit in the core of the business Company needs improvement in terms of how projects are managed and to be steered away from carrying out some possibly unethical working practices that limit its maturity. This might not be evident at those at graduate level, but be prepared to work in a heavy political and hierarchical environment. This means that some under-performers can be frequently successful in a whom you know, not what you know organisation.
