      Pros

      Upper management is extremely knowledgeable in their respective disciplines.

      Cons

      Too little emphasis on employee growth, instead reliant on expensive seconded expertise. Development and guidance would go a long way.

      Pros

      You are treated with respect, you get exposure to interesting projects and generally it feels like a reasonable work/life balance.

      Cons

      Reasonable pay rises even to get in line with market rates are hard to come by and IT, HR get little respect from what is a mainly Engineering consultancy. Management is very silly about expenses and petty costs. For example getting a blackberry approved has to go all the way up past the department director.
