Pros

Movemedical is working to improve healthcare logistics; our mission is very easy to embrace. Couple a great mission with a very positive culture and you have a fun place to work! Our leadership team works hard to keep us informed and has helped all of us adapt to a new world of nearly 100% distributed work. We use modern DevOps practices and are provided with useful tools. Plus, we use Macs (as a long-time Mac user, I appreciate this).

Cons

We go through periods of intense activity (expect to work a few weekends during major releases) as we focus on specific customer deliverables - we then context switch over to other customer requirements and we may not spend time monitoring/polishing the just-released feature. As a result of this, we are accumulating technical debt.

Pros

Movemedical is a close knit family environment that encourages a culture of support and collaboration. There are no glass ceilings, politics, or drama. The executive management team is hands on and provides regular performance feedback and opportunities for growth. Ideas are strongly encouraged and processes are adjusted frequently to make improvements based off of suggestions and lessons learned. Movemedical has worked hard to provide clarity around every position so each person knows what they are responsible for, what they are supposed to do, and how to do it. We work hard and play hard! There are frequent events, lunches, and outings to keep things light. The corporate office is awesome - specious with free snacks and drinks! There are many examples of people being promoted and working their way into new positions and gaining new experience. There really is no limit. This is the place to go for personal and professional growth.

Cons

Movemedical is a place for people who are self sufficient and motivated to learn. Those what need to be told what to do without taking initiative would probably struggle. There is not a lot of hand holding which can either be a pro or a con depending on your perspective. Once you join, you'll kick yourself for not finding this company sooner.

Pros

This is the best company and leadership team I have ever worked for. If you are able to take responsibility for your own work this is a great place to grow. This is my 7th company I have worked for since graduating college and Movemedical is more merit-based than any of them. If you produce, then you are valued. Often you need to be able to solve problems and suggest ideas on your own, and I love that. If you have an idea, the owners listen. Also, the people are really smart. Being part of a team where you can trust the intellect and work ethic of your team is very important to me. In my experience, the leaders of the company care deeply about each employee that really puts forth an effort. You see the President and the CEO working hard all the time and that motivates the rest of us. The relaxed open door policy is nice as well. Also, since we are solving problems that no one else has ever been able to solve, I feel confident that we are really helping our clients.

Cons

The product and industry have some complexities that take a while to learn and deeply understand, that makes it hard to contribute right away. The company is basically introducing a product that has never existed before and so that brings many other challenges and growing pains that are often reflected in sometimes big pivots. Can be confusing if you value stability and consistency (instead of growth or potential).
